Happy Easter, folks!
I went to church for the first time in a while... I didn't go at all during Lent. I felt I should go, though, so I did. I really need to switch churches. I just have no joy there. But I miss singing in the choir. I am singing in a small Armenian women's chorus, but I really miss singing the liturgy.

You can always blog about your experience, even when you're not able to attend the Armenian church...
I have stumbled two times upon your blog and am happy you have taken the time to share your journey in the church. I wonder if your disappointment with the church is a ncessary part of the journey. It was for me.
I have had to let a lot of my expectations, ideals and ego about the Arm. Church die along the way. But "whatever dies bears much fruit" we are told (and shown) by Christ.
I have found that as I work on the Arm. Church to make it better, it does the same to me, often through frustration, disappointment and suffering. But as in the physical, so with the spiritual...no pain no gain!
Thanks for allowing my unsolicited encouragement..

Just by lucky chanse I found your blog! Thank you for writing about the armenian church! I am protestant (still) but I feel myself more and more home in the armenian church. Im sorry I blog in swedish, but I have some pictures and films from Jerusalem that you might enjoy.
Have there been any further developments since last year? I have enjoyed reading about your experience.
Sad News to share: Fr. Mesrob Sarafian passed away last month. It sounded like it was very sudden. The In His Shoes blog had a nice write-up about him and the funeral.
oh, that is sad! I have never been to the Oakland church, but I have only heard great things about it. That must be tough for them. It's not very spiritual of me, but death is so hard.
